Saturday 16th April.
A nice sunny day. Out from first thing to see a place at Lakeside. Very nice property which I might recieve Instructions on. Had a gap during the morning so managed to get around the town and did my weekend shopping. Met lots of lovely folk who are still extending their Birthday wishes to me. How nice? Helen finally took down all my cards from the office window and I have safely stored them away. Finished work mid afternoon and watched a bit of the racing on tv. I made a delicious roast lamb dinner, washed down with half a bottle of a beautiful Merlot which was one of my birthday gifts. Watched tv for the remainder of the evening. A film with Clint Eastwood. Surely ranked as one of the worst movies ever! Obviously cost a fortune to make, but such a load of rubbish. I persisted in watching it in the vain hope that it would get better. But no chance!
