THURSDAY 12th JANUARY
A colder day! And it’s going to get even colder as we approach the weekend with clear skies and bright sunshine. Perfect walking weather! What an opportunity to go walking and to see the waterfalls still in full spate. Plenty work to get on with and it’s beginning to feel a bit like “the good old days”. I certainly do hope so. There was an excellent turn-out at the Quiz with 26 teams competing. A lot of good fun and the Rollover ( £191.50 ) was WON by Sarah. She correctly answered this question; “In which year were the first Open University Degrees awarded?”. Do you know? I will tell you tomorrow. Called to see Jacky with Derek, to offer our full support. She is coping very well under the circumstances and she is pleased at the number of sympathy cards, text messages, phone calls, and callers that she is receiving. It’s yet to be confirmed but the funeral is LIKELY to be Friday 20th. Once I know for certain I will, of course, announce the details on this blog.
