FRIDAY 13th JANUARY
Oooh! The 13th! That’s hard for a Triskadekaphobic and even worse for someone who fears FRIDAY the 13th ( Paraskevidekatriaphobic). Curiously there will be 3 occurances ( 13th April and July 13th ) of Friday 13 during 2012 and even more curious is the fact that they will be exactly 13 weeks apart! Sinister? There’s lots of reasonings as to why Friday’s and 13th are regarded such. Jesus was crucified on Friday, there were 13 at The Last Supper, a ship called HMS Friday was launched on the 13th, her Captain was called Friday, she set sail on her maiden voyage on 13th and was never heard of again! All true. I promise! On the other hand, I had a GOOD day! When you reach my age EVERY day is a good day. And it was my second daughter’s ( Lisa) Birthday. Can’t tell you what number birthday! Happy Birthday darling! Met up with the Early Door’s gang at 6 in the Farmer’s Arms. The conspicuous absentee was, of course, our old mate “Big Dave” Howson. A gaping hole has been left. We are still uncertain of the funeral arrangements but should know for certain on either Monday or Tuesday, but it’s PROBABLY going to be Friday 20th. The pub was nicely full and Ding Dong and I had one in the Capitola and the last one in the Big Kings. Home then and an early night.
