Friday 27th August; Another lovely morning! Amber is in the office again, today. She does enjoy it. Helen keeps her busy with little jobs and errands. They had a great day at Fellfoot Park. They had a blow-up canoe and by all accounts great fun was had by all. Saw that DUNASKIN with Graham Lee on board, did the business in the first race at Cartmel. Had a very pleasant win on her at the Whit race meeting but missed her this time. Blast! First job of the day was across at Broughton. Smashing village. Always think it is a really nice place to be. As the Jag is still poorly, I went in the Red Rocket. It’s surprisingly comfortable, accurate and a doddle to park. Did a re-visit to a house I have sold in Ireleth. The sun was blazing down ( what a nice thing to report?) and the garden looked magnificent. The Buyers brought their parents and I am pleased to say they loved it too. Met up with A and D in the Farmer’s at 6. D and I had matching yellow sweaters! Looked like a club outing. Susan joined us and we all had a good evening. Migrated to the Capitola for a couple and met a few other friends, then back to the Farmer’s again. Said “good night”, then picked up a Chinese curry takeaway, and off home. A very nice evening.
