MONDAY 9th JANUARY
A spring-like day with some glorious sunshine. And it’s mild, and there are snowdrops, crocus and some daffs out already It must be the mildest winter I can remember. Had plenty work to get on with and the diary is filling up nicely. The nice mild weather is forecast to continue for another few days then become a little cooler by the weekend. Called by to see the distraught wife of my friend who died suddenly on Sunday. She is in a dreadful state, as you might imagine. I went up to Clare’s for a very nice tea. They are all doing well and Josh is off to Bolton on Tuesday to take part in some pop video. Marissa is starting to take her exams at school on Friday. I’m sure she will do well. Listened to Paul Jones R&B programme then watched UC. An excellent match. Watched a bit about the Great Train Robbery and then later listened to Big Band Special on Radio 2. Great stuff. I like Monday evenings!
